Frequently AskedQuestion

Have Questions? I Thought You Might.

Here are some of the most common questions I am asked. If you don’t see the answer to the question you are looking for please don’t hesitate to call 281-475-8444.

How much do you charge for web design?

Since we don’t deal with cookie cutter websites and each project is specifically customized for that client’s needs, web site costs vary. The average price for our web design services is between $2000 – $6000. However, we are always willing to work within a budget.

Why don’t you charge per page like competing designers in the area?

The thought of charging $100 per page has never really sat right with me. I approach each project as a whole. I want to make sure my client’s sites are more effective than any of their competitors. If we need 7 pages or 15 pages to leap ahead of the pack then lets to do it…whatever it takes to make you number one.

What is your hourly rate for website maintenance and updates?

Between $45 and $80/hr depending on the type of website and updates needed.

Can I edit my website myself?

Yes and No. Our websites are built with their own CMS (content management system) that allows you to easily login, edit & add information to your website. They even have their own smartphone app to easily add photos or news while one the go. However some parts of your site might require basic html coding. For more difficult updates my clients usually opt to have me do them at my hourly rate of $45/hr.

Will my site show up in Google?

Yes. Our websites are always created with the best SEO practices in mind. While site ranking is an ongoing effort, all of our sites are fully optimized and submitted to Google. Several of my sites are number one on Google for their targeted search terms. What’s a bounce rate?

Studies have found that people make up their mind to stay on your page or move on within the first 15 seconds. That’s why having a well-designed home page is so important. You’re bounce rate is the percentage of people who visit your site and leave within that first 5 to 15 seconds without clicking further into your site. A lower bounce rate and higher average time spent on site is a good indication of how potential customers are viewing your site.

How long does the logo design process take?

It really depends on the client since we offer unlimited revisions. You will be presented with your first five to seven drafts within one week. The rest of the time is spent tweaking the logo to make is just perfect for your company.

You’re a teacher too? Will you have time to update my website?

This a truly valid question. The answer is yes! Most site updates are completed within a week. Teaching and webdesign are both passions of mine. What might sound like two jobs to some is really just me doing what I love to do along with the help of my wife.

How long have you been designing websites?

Almost 15 years now. It’s exciting to see how the different technologies have changed the way we design websites from basic html then Flash and now onto WordPress & php. With the increase in highspeed internet, screen resolutions, & and the use of mobile devices, it’s important to find a web designer that is current on the latest trends and changing with the times.
